Many Were In Our Class? |
After an analysis of the pictures in our yearbook,
the senior directory, the graduation program and the
article that appeared in the Watertown Daily Times after
graduation, we have determined that there
were 408 students in our senior class and 376 actually
received their diplomas in June 1969. HOWEVER ...
there are still a number of unanswered questions. For
example, the obituaries of several people list them as
1969 graduates but they didn't appear in the program
and/or the yearbook. For those interested, please
read the
analysis.
In addition, Larry Corbett contacted the staff at the
Watertown Daily Times. Included with information
he has received is an article that was published in the
July 10, 1969 edition that indicates that there were 395
people in our graduating class. This is nineteen
(19) more people than are noted in the graduation
program. We can't explain where these additional
people came from but this information was compiled by
the guidance office so we must conclude that it is
somewhat official.
